71 CB350 Kickstarter

I recently picked up a 71 CB350, bike sat for 11 years, I pulled the head cover and squirt oil on the cams, rockers, etc. Made sure there was oil in the motor, poured a little in the cylinders, and let it sit for a couple of days. Turned it over by hand and everything was smooth. Kicked it a few times, all is well. Today the kick starter acts like its not engaging, something is definetly turning over in the lower end, buy the motor is not turning over. Any ideas on where to start or what this may be? I work on old bikes, but the cb350 is new to me. Thanks, Rick.

Is the clutch not adjusted right? As in it's holding the plates open so the kick won't engage. It might be a bit finicky after sitting for all those years.

Thats what it was. In all my excitement of playing with another new project I failed to realize that the clutch cable was stuck and not disengaging. Thanks
