Bloody fantastic Jeff, from beginning to end, just a great project. Thanks for sharing. Does Hil's get to drive or is she relegated to just being a passenger?
Thanks Mike, Hil;s dose ride but only Autos, but would love to see her ride this that would look so cool and she;d love it.
I do want to get some video of her kick starting it though!!!!!
Jeff - That is a nice mini bike. What's the "L" on the front of it refer to? Is that "L" for "Learner" or beginner? Sort of like having "Student Driver" posted on an auto? Or am I totally off base?
Tank and bits are off to the painters now and wont be back for three weeks so that gives me time to sort out the oil leak.
The leak is coming from the gearbox side main shaft oil seal,Its a bit of a flaff to get to so im glad i have the time to do it
The manuel says next i have to take the gear box cluster out along with the main shaft so that i can push the oil seal out towards the clutch opening !!!
Me being me looked at it and thought "if its coming out this way why can;t i just pull it out and NOT take the gear box out "
so this is what i did!!!!
Well it came out okey, Great but how to put the new one in with that shaft there ? So i came up with this
Result, an 1.5 poly pipe plus coupling a heat gun and my old indicator !!!!!!
Dose this make me a lazy *****
Spot on Jeff! The clutch pushrod seals on the early 450's are the same, they say take the pushrod out which means taking the clutch out... the common trick over on the GSR is what you just did... good stuff ;D
