Well story goes like this.... I just picked this bike up for $175! It sat in this old guys garage since 1993 and he recently decided to part ways with the bike. I was quick to hope on the deal! So far, I have cleaned the gas tank, cleaned the carbs, bought a new battery and ordered a new brake lever. The bike is in awesome condition for its age! I got it running and actually got to ride it in the parking lot just the other day, so that was pretty cool! My plans are to hopefully hardtail this son of bitch! I have lots of ideas, just have to decide which route to go. Anyways heres some snapshots of her..... enjoy!

Ordered so vintage 50's style handlebars and pod filters! Can't wait to get them! Still haven't chopped anything yet, still debating on how/ what to do!

Havent updated in a little while, the army keeps me pretty busy. Anyways, I decided I'm going extend the swing arm and then add new seat rails down to the swing arm to make like a rigid swing arm.

Ordered my tires. Duro hf302b vintage style and they will be here Monday! Super excited! Also mounted my new 50's royal enfield bars, they look and feel great!

Hoping to get the swing arm done in the next month or so. Hopefully can get this project going a lot more since i will be in Afghanistan in march.

Stay tuned!

Not liking the sound of that. Think about doing a solid strut. It will get you back on the road sooner, and you can have any amount of lowering you'd like, but still change it up in the future. Who knows, after a tour you might not want a rigid!

That is very true! I just hate the look of solid struts, maybe just go with some shorter regular struts! We will see, once I get my tires in and mounted and the swing arm extension I am going to play around with a few ideas and see what I like best. Thanks for the insight for sure!
