The shorty megaphone came in yesterday. I think I should order a 45 bend to finish out the exhaust instead of trying to make that triumph pipe work. I will get that ordered today or next week to finish. Excitement for me today. I bought a new Miller welder. Up to now, I've been doing my welding at our farm shop (yes I'm a farmer too ;) or take it to work at the power plant. I'm pretty stoked.

Can you take a picture of the inside of that shorty muffler? I'm trying to see which one would be best for my 79 CB125S. I don't want a straight pipe muffler. ;)

Hope this helps, the end cone is removable to remove the baffle

Yesterday I ordered the last bend for the exhaust system. Hopefully it will come in within a few days. Off work till Tuesday. Can't wait to finish it up!

i couldn't find a second set of std. rings anywhere. I ended up ordering a .25mm over piston kit. They are ART brand pistons, rings, and wrist pins, both holes shipped from Seager-Engineering in England for $110. Pretty stoked. Worked on notching the seat pan so I can remove the gas tank without taking the seat off last night. Just kinda trudgin' along.

Can you remove the downpipes from the head with it all in one piece like that? I'd like to do my 360 downpipes in one piece but figured I wouldn't be able to because of the angle of the exhaust ports.

I made both header pipes removable at the collector. Otherwise the angle of the exhaust ports would prevent it from being removed. I have some expansion chamber springs and spring clips to weld on the collector and header pipes. Sharp eye

I got back on the exhaust system today and just about have it whipped. Need to finish up welding the collector to megaphone transition.

I usually just bend up an old spoke and grab springs from the hardware store to hold them together - same idea though.

Ya Stik - I'm diggin it too. Great job!

Is the muffler supported by the upper shock mount?

Thanks for the comments. I am going to paint them black. Have a new product to use and will give a test on it. Yes, the megaphone is held from the top shock mount and will mount it under the engine as well.

Goodies have come via UPS and the post office this week. A new pair of levers and perches, and an atv light switch. The switch is cool, hi-low-off and a kill button that will be used for the horn. The "ART" piston kit made it from England as well. Hammering out the last details on the exhaust right now.

Cool! My 200 parts came this week as well. hope to have her back on the road in a few days.

I got a chance to play in the garage yesterday and today. I welded up a gas tank support for the back of the tank and is solidly secure now. I started honing the cylinder just to clean it up for the cylinder bore gauge. My dad is looking through his rigid hone collection to see if he has one small enough for this little guy. The Magura levers I ordered came in. Think I will order the brake light switch for it. Finished up the exhaust and am very pleased. I added a mount after the collector and before the megaphone and went to the frame with it (turned out rock solid). And last but not least, the atv aftermarket light switch, 20mm wide, has hi-lo-off and a kill switch I'll use for the horn button. Diesel, hope your project is Rockin' along as well.

I'm liking the kill switch as horn button cuz' thats usually what you want to do to anyone your tootin' at anyway.

Do you have a link to the levers you ordered that have a brake switch hole? I am having a hard time finding any simple drum brake levers that are drilled for a switch. Someone pointed me to the old Triumph brake cable with the inline switch and was thinking of using that instead.

thanks for the nice words guys. LL, i sent a PM to you about the levers. I finally found a throttle style i like. Gonna try to get one. Working on getting a plan together for headlight and gauge mounts.
