UPDATE! bike is finally coming together!
I moved everything to my girlfriends basement for the final assembly. More pics to come. I would have more for you now but the lighting is to low and I forgot my tripod today.
If any locals want to come join in on the fun you are welcome and if not we have to go for a ride once my hand is healed (I'm sure my surgeon will be ecstatic about that comment) haha.
and I asked my buddy about the truck. It is indeed a c10 just with aftermarket hubs with a little extra backspacing so he could fit the larger tires. He just began restoring it so I'll have to swing over to his place and get some pics of the transformation for you guys.
NBraun: I purchased the seat from benjie's cafe. I love it! came with all the custom mounting brackets and they built it custom to my needs. They will do ANYTHING you want. build you a hoop with battery box, extend the seat if you are taller (aka me), create specific brackets if you have an underseat oil tank, etc. It did take them a LONG time to make (4 months) but they were very apologetic and they assured me that the only reason it was late was because they were relocating shops. I will buy from them again.
A few questions for you vets out there:
Has anyone ever soldered new barrels on throttle cables? I have to make some adjustments and could use any tips if you have them.
Does anyone here run no mud guard? Wondering just how dirty my battery/ electrical/ oil tank is going to get. I will probably end up building a custom aluminum mud guard if it gets bad.
This last week has been a busy one. First of all I would like to make a HUGE shout out to Redbird for coming over and helping me out with some electrical problems. He is a life saver.
The bike is complete! I don't have any pictures of the fully assembled bike because my DSLR is dead right now and cell phone pictures just wont due but Here are a few pictures of the last couple weeks activities.
Project knees and elbows comes to a close and the bike gets a name. Any thoughts?
here is my buddy that works at a bicycle show truing up my wheel. $375 at a shop. $60 by him and he got is spot on.
I think it's new name should be "Where the hell does this wire go?", or "Why isn't that lighting up?", or better yet... "Hang on, Lemme think a second..." lmao
