77 CB750 FORK SWAP?

Want to swap my 77 CB750 forks out for something better with 2 disc brakes. Has anyone done this and what fits?

if you wanna swap out the whole tree, here's a head bearing size chart... some guys run a gl1000 front end.

GL1000 forks will bolt right up.

I was under the impression ALL Hondas used interchangeable front ends. My buddy is running a CBR900RR front end on his CB. As I was led to believe, the only thing that might be different is the length of the stem.

Well, I can tell you this, the 79 CB750K and the 82 CB750SC Nighthawk do NOT have the same lower steering stem bearings, or the same width front axle. The Nighthawk's front end has dual discs and is about 1/2" wider, hence the triples are also 1/2" wider.

gl1000 front end. get the tripple trees to go with it and it bolts up.
