77 CJ360 Stock Carb Rebuild

duggyb

where are the skis?
I find that finding things specific to the CJ360 are allot harder than the CB360 so I am just wondering if these carb kits will work for rebuilding my stock 759A carbs

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-CB360-CL360-CJ360-CARB-KIT-KH-1290-NEW-2-KITS-/111111121881?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19debd2bd9&vxp=mtr

I am looking for the most complete kit, the carbs work currently but have some stutter at constant throttle and have never been rebuilt so they are due.

I know some companies out there sell some cheap kits with wrong jets, and I don't want those.

Thanks
DUstin

To really clean the carbs, you don;t need much but the bowl gasket and the float needle valve. The jets should be removable from the carb and cleanable. Seems like a lot of people replace perfectly fine jets.

the trick to cleaning them is to press out the emulsifiers and clean the little holes out in it. The other part than can fail is the diaphragms. They are available new separately.

check out www.hondacb360.com. the owner (Brenden - Zephyrking on this site) owns a CJ360... He has parts instock (for instance, just the o-rings if you want) and would track down specific parts for you if they are still available. He's a good guy.
