Well I have been a long time lurker and gotta say i love this site. I am terrible at taking pictures of my stuff but I'll throw a few of my project on. Just getting seat covered today with distressed brown leather, the electrical and other small bits, then done.

Great looking bike! I am building a 81 gs550 brat/cafe ironically lol I actually thought your thread was mine when I first saw the title. Check mine out and tell me what ya think! also what foam did you use on the seat? And how do those come filters perform on your bike? I heard they aren't a great fit for our carbs for some reason

I saw yours the other day, looks great. I don't post much just kinda look at everything. Haven't run the bike yet with filters, waiting for ignition and then need to wire everything up. My last gs had them and it was fine just had to rejet and play with needles. The foam is just yoga mats cut and glued together then shaped. Works good and is comfortable to sit on, i guess i'll see how it is in the real world soon.

Just waiting on seat to be done and a front brake line.

It's done. All work except welding and seat cover done by myself. I'm extremely happy with how it came out. Runs, sounds and looks (in my opinion) like a dream.

used yoga mats glued together. Would not recommend them, comfortable at first but after my first 2 hr ride they had a memory and wouldn't rebound where my bony ass sat. I'm using rebond foam now and much much better.

Thanks for the tip. Im thinking about redoing my Harley seat. Im trying to do my research before buying all of the materials.

Some better pics of bike
