Started with a chemical dip then used a dremel and brass wire wheel attachments to polish it up. Works awesome for the little nooks and crannies.

Still some more work to do but getting closer.

awesome build man, im doing a cb450 right now with the exact same front end, 07 gsxr600, also made the axle and spacers for the stock hub. are you running a front steering damper?

No steering damper. I have it but I hate the way it looks so Im still debating.

Bike is now running I'll post up a video soon. Just have to finish some paint work and figure out the rear brake linkage and she'll be done. One issue though if anyone wants to chime in...

I'm using carbs from an 86 zx600 ninja. It idles and runs fine until I start revving up to WOT. As soon as I'm up to full throttle or near to it, the bike bogs down and wants to die. Any ideas?

did you check the timing? my advancer was Fucked and the bike wouldn't rev past a certain rpm, your problem sounds different but may be cause by something similar....Have you had the carbs sync'd? that may help also

Yea I'm having pretty much everything checked right now. I think the problem was that it was starving for fuel at the higher rpms. Wayyy too much air so I'm gonna increase the jet size. Also ended up doing the head gasket. After that it should be rideable!

Some updates finally... Got the bike running, charging system all good, everything is just about good to go. Heres some pics of it almost done... gotta get some with a better background. Still need to wire up a gauge as well.

I'm thinking about repainting but what do you guys think??

Also might make a custom stainless steel exhaust... I don't know if I really like the wrapped look and the pipes underneath aren't perfect.

Maybe it's just the angle but it looks as if the front wheel will hit the down pipes when the suspension is depressed. Hope it's just the angle of the pic.
