78 750f tank

newb post here have a 78 750 f. Would an older k tank with the metal top from like a 72-75 fit fine with no problems?

If you get me some measurements off your tank, I can check them to a '75 K tank I have here at the house

It will not fit right on, the 77-78 F have longer frames, and longer tanks. Of course anything can be made to fit with modification but its not a direct swap.

ok thanks I'm planning on painting my covers.tail and tank with in the next 2 weeks. I'm working on the color scheme as we speak. Im trying to figure out a bracket that will work because i can't stand the tail and just want to knock it off but still want a seat that will hold 2 people. ill work on getting a cafe seat in the future
