so I bought my a 1980 Kawasaki kz440a ltd bought a year ago and have bin working on her off and on do to work and budget, I've bin taking pictures off and as well, so this is what I started out with

While you have them off the bike and after you clean them, check the fuel level in each bowl (easier to take the bowls off for adjustment if not connected to the bike). Mount carbs on a portable workbench so they are level (both front-back and side-side); then check fuel level. If you have an old set of rubber intake manifolds you can mount them to a board for positioning.predawn sky said:I think its the carb because the plugs are getting spark, and the cylinder is getting compression, so I took the carb apart and cleaned them today

Seems like there's a lot of that going around among '80s bike owners right now. Don't know if it's the coil windings, or insulating oil breaking down, or what. Probably age related though.predawn sky said:so the ignition coil I have is the wrong one but I ordered the right one will get it around tues.
