81 XJ550 seca into a cafe racer

well i have the entire front half of the bike done and it's runnin like a top.

went for more of a cafe/ brat inspired by Moon Equip

had to line the tank (so i repainted it since they screwed it up)
reclean the carbs and notice 2 passages that where totally blocked solid
remounted the light
wired up and put on an xs650 cluster
all the electrical is 100%
painted the forks black and rebuilt the front caliper and put in new pads

Nice build!

At first look I was bummed about the loss of the 2tone paint on the tank but I am starting to really like the moon eyes.

yeah i was bummed when i got the tank back from lining all scratched up.

i may go back to the original scheme if this paint proves less fuel resistance
