OK so I picked up a 82 CM450 C Ran then died. Tore it down a bit and found a broken balancer Shaft chain. So I tore it down and started to split the case but it will not come apart. It will separate about 1/4" but seems to be hung up in the stator/alternator area but I can't figure out what it is. Everything seems to be disconnected. this is my first honda twin I've worked on and i'm stumped.
