So this is where the fun starts.

I just bought this bike from a kid who obviously didn't know what he was doing with it, and honestly, he looked pretty glad to get rid of it. For a couple hundred bucks and a title, I thought this would be a good first bike for me and jumped on it. I found out why when I broke in to it though.

Here She is, black beauty.

The carbs were leaking like a Dutch dyke when I opened the petcock and missing a few pieces is an understatement. They're rebuilt now, so we'll move on to the next phase, getting it running. Got a few things on order because people don't know what they're doing. Wiring harness to come.

One question for now:
I want to do what WrenchTechRacing did and chop off the frame and weld support for a monoshock. I talked to a local bike shop owner and he made it sound like heart surgery with a frame welder, a stand to make it all happen and a whole lot of other stuff. I have a tig and mig welder and I know how to use them. I also have a machine shop at my disposal. Is there anything special I need to know about welding a monoshock to the frame/swing arm?
