After spending a little time atempting a proper polishing of the aluminum lower fork legs, and realizing they may not look good enough, I opted for the black painted option. I like the look and think once the engine is mounted, the look will be cool.

Cut off the tabs on the lower tank that were the top side cover mounts- not needed- and sprayed it flat just to take a look- still unsure on color and scheme- ideas?

She's coming along nicely and starting to really take form. Wheels are painted and remounted now- Engine next to go back into place- then its sorting out electrics, rebuilding brake cylinders.
I like the overall scheme of the bike, and the final paint on the tank and seat section are still up in the air. I have decided on my next project (which will be another single), beefing up the front end is key. This one does have a bit of a flimsy look to the forks- pulling a set from a junked R1 or CBR or whatever I can find that may work and get a set of upside down, fatter looking forks will be nice.

No! I cant decide but the further i get, the more i like the idea of keeping it black and gold- maybe a small accent in gold on the black tank with a small burgundy or rd pin stripe to seperate the colors- ?

yeah coming along nicely slim
i plan on tomorrow tearing into those 2 motors to see if we have all the parts for kicker conversion,however i have read that the FT footpeg is an interference issue with a kicker

Thanks! Ok- Im not remounting the stock pegs anyway- I will be doing something custom- I think we can work around it??
