A couple of tanks and seats

Looks good.

What provisions does it have for mounting to the frame? It looks like you've eliminated that hole for mounting it to the backbone...

It is mounted w/ the typical "hocky puck" holders and a tab that is epoxied on the back side. It can also be attached with a metal strap over the top and attachement points on the frame front and rear. There is many ways these tanks can be attached. It all depends on what look you're going for and what type of bike they will be going on.

You have a tank/seat combo like this to fit a 550? That is exactly what I am looking for right now.

I'll check fitment w/ our 550 tonight and I'll let you know asap.

I'm working on a 550 as well; can you check the fitment of that manx tank while you're at it?

We offer a lifetime guarantee on parts and labor. If one of our tanks leaks at any point ever due to parts and labor (including degridation from ethanol fuels) we will repair or replace them. I believe the process that I am using will prevent this from happening.

cool, they look nice, I'm not bashing your workmanship, just sharing my experience...

Oh, I know. Thank you. You've been doing this longer than I have. I'm always open for suggestions and constructive criticism. Hell, I'm married, I'm used to it.

Ok, the verdict. The hocky pucks on the CB550 frame are 1/2 an inch wider than the CB450's. With a little work the tanks(CR450 and Manx) will fit on the CB550. I can almost guarantee that these will fit the CB500 four also with some work. Keep in mind that most of these tanks were designed to be somewhat of a universal fit, rockcity can probably back me up on this one, but most of the tanks can be fitted to almost any bike with a little work. If the tank just absolutely won't fit then I'd be happy to give you a full refund or if you are dead set on getting that style of tank to fit then I will do some prototype work and get it to fit for you.

Well if it was easy, everybody would be doing it, right?

So does that f-bed tank use the factory pucks as well? Any idea how it looks sitting on the 550?

Yes it does use the factory pucks. I'll get you some pics ASAP.

Looks like you are doing great work and I really like the fact you listen to what people want and are willing to build what people are looking for. Good job.

Bob Hansen Honda carries the CR tank in aluminum, not 100% sure if it will fit the 350 though. If 450 tanks will fit the 350 then it will.

website seems to be down :(

what's your budget? two friends just bought 350s I could get the measurements from

to be completely honest at this point its simply wishful thinking. Anyways Ive put an insane amount of man hours (because I have no clue what Im doing) into the tank Im putting on my bike, so Id feel bad if I didnt run it.

Hey Smurph, thanks man. I appreciate it. I just love wrenching on these old bikes and I love helping like minded folks build bad ass bikes.
