Ringo maintains that I have enough street creds here to get away with this, but I am not really sure. But here goes, anyway. Mrs. T71 and I have been wanting to do a little more distance/ two up riding, and be able to load some things on the bike if we want to get away for a weekend or whatever. My boss just bought a Harley Springer, and one thing led to another that I got a really sweet deal on this:

Its a 2004 Heritage Softail. I gotta admit that even though my first love is sporty cafe/ race bikes, this thing has proved to be very useful. It rides great, and is pretty comfy. And one of its more salient features:

Something that is hard to do on a performance bike! ;D

Anyway, since we are all family around here, I figured you all can take the good with the bad. I am still building performance bikes, and a solid enthusiast. I will wave at any sportbike rider I see. I don't eat children. I always wear my helmet. I ride the speed limit. So please, no hatin'! ;D ;D

That does it. We expect any patches, decals, vintage lids, or other logos to be turned in immediately. And Ringo: feel free to pick up KoolAid, the XS1100, and Isadora (sp?) at your convenience. We will distribute parts and profits among the rest of DTT.

Kidding Tyler. Looks good man! I would ride it (in shame of course!) ;D

Couldnt have said it better myself! And just think about how much fun you'll have carving it up into something more interesting in a few years when your bored of it! Looks nice, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. ;D

Hahaha, actually Tyler was talking about doing some steampunk style mods to it next winter! Should be pretty cool.

For sure,
But Folks who ride Harleys tend to ride with a *little* too much pride.
You aren't kiddin' there. And they are usally the first to pack up the bikes for the season, and the last to get 'em out. ;) At least thats the way it is hear in MI.

Ouch! Ha ha, I guess I deserve it! As Ringo said, though, I have been fascinated with Crescent's build, and really dig the steampunk thing, so there will be a move to that this winter. I am thinking lots of copper tubing, gold leaf, and brass accents. The Harley crowd won't know what hit 'em! Don't worry, guys, I won't let you down! The FZ build should be finishing up soon, and I can hopefully redeem myself!

Incidentally, Ringo is picking up Isadora, too. His brother will be soon added to the fold, with Isadora as his learner platform. Sewed that up today as well!

Nothing to be ashamed of. That's a nice bike. I think once you get past all the anti-Harley BS on one side and the Harley rider elitism on the the other, you'll like it a lot, especially on long rides. Aside from the motor vibrations being measured on the Richter scale, the newer Harleys are pretty nice.

Hey man... For cruising around the countryside with you wife in tow, theres not much out there better than a big ol' American land yacht. Good on ya. Now cut it up. ;)

I must say this though, a bike is a bike is a bike. Enjoy the freedom no matter the technology, or how much you paid for it. :D

Awesome family bike!
The Harley rider hate is interesting to me right now, I am working on a mural on the side of a Harley shop, so far I think the guys there have figured out I know a bit about motorcycles, but since I do not look like your average biker they haven't bothered to ask me what I ride, or really show me any respect.

Ever notice how most harley guys are in their late 30's at the youngest? Or those who are younger are also single without kids?

Give it a Crescent style build. Actually just let him build it. As long as you trim some of the fat off it can't be that bad, but there is way too much shit on it to be a legitimate motorcycle now.

For those not in the loop here, this is the guy who just built a 1000cc, lighter-than-hell, suck-your-nuts-out-your-asshole-kind-of-acceleration-while-at-the-same-time-making-you-think-you're-King-Shit-of-F*ck-Mountain, twin. I guess that's how I'd describe Kool-Aid.

Not every bike in his stable has to be stripped down and insane!
