A repurposed cheap lift for the Ace?

I am a bit sick of working at ground level.

As this has no springs, seems to me that there is not much to do to make it in to a workable lift. Secondhand good working order for NZ$80. Looks like I can get the sides off and those bed ends can come off and get re-used as a ramp maybe. Size seems good for the wee Ace at 1780 by 780, may not take a bigger bike in future though.

Anyone here used one of these for a bike? Pros and cons?

Want to go halves 2b? I'll need something when I pull mine to bits to rebuild over the winter... I have great plans ;)

Hey, I'm free early next week if you want to catch up. PM me if keen, you can rake mine for a rude. Dean says you're keen to compare?

I got some more info.
Highest level 755
Lowest 450
Ends & sides unbolt
Lifting mechanism is in good order
Wheels lock

So seems like an ideal platform.

However, just wondering about getting the bike on and off. Seen too many vids of people dropping bikes on ramps!

Would it be best to fashion a non slippery long wide ramp that hooks on to end of bed frame and ride on. And to get off just sit on it and roll back gently?

Sorry to be such a noob, but don't want to buy it and find it is impractical!

Cheers

It worked out great. Real pleased with it, definitley saving me a lot of back pain. I get the choice of working standing up or on an office chair and very easy to roll on and off. And the holes were already in the right place for the tie downs.
