1978 CB750F-Coming along nicely!
So I took the carbs off and cleaned them up a bit using the Clymer's Handbook. Everything looked pretty spotless inside and I'm sure the previous owner cleaned them up a bit. There's a couple of problems now.
1. The choke spring is unwound so when I pull on the choke lever the butterfly valves don't close at all. I'm pretty sure I have to take the carbs off and wind up the spring again. Haven't had time yet but I'll give it a shot soon.
2. The accelerator pump is leaking around the edges. It never did that before and now my dumbass probably screwed it up. Well, I've ordered new acc. pump diaphragm and parts so hopefully that should do the trick but I've also been reading up that a lot of people are missing an o-ring that might cause this leakage? Well, I looked online and ordered the o-ring as well so I'll be taking these babies apart, cleaning them up, and installing the new parts soon.
BTW, has anyone ever ordered from www.VintageCB750.com ? I ordered the parts last week and still haven't received tracking or shipping info via email. I need these parts soon!
