I think I sort of have mixed feelings about this. If they franchise and open a branch here in america, wouldn't it kinda cheapen the notion of visiting a historic "original" landmark such as the original ace cafe in london? No need to cross the pond, just cross the country. Id definitely visit it if I were in tacoma, but I kinda wish we didn't have to depend on the iconic and universal recognition of a brand of cafe when we have plenty of potential to make our own bit of history with a unique cafe over here.

I dunno, just seems a tad sacrilege to the original ace. Maybe im just off today. I dunno...

I'm kinda with you, it seems like a "watering down of the brand". Having said that, if I were in Tacoma I'd still visit it also.

I think the cool thing about it is that it will bring some bikes to what will soon be the largest auto museum in the world. I can definately see myself riding there to check out the collection.

The death was certified when a cafe show came to cable TV and it featured Japanese bikes.
