Actuating rear master cylinder with drum actuator?

verboten1

Der konig
has anyone actuated a rear push master cylinder with the stock drum type actuator?

I now have a SV650 rear wheel and brake caliper with the SV master cylinder, i would like to keep my stock controls and somehow actuate the MC but i need to actuate UP and the stock controls actuate forward...any ideas?

Cut off the actuator and re-weld it at 90 degrees? Then you have to mount the MC somewhere....

Honestly, it's probably less work to mount some reasets (most GSXR, FZR, CBR rearsets have mounts on them for the MC)

You will have to do some fabrication work. One way is to use a complete later model footpeg and lever and M/C.

Or make up a bell crank so that as the stock lever moves down under your foot and the lever part rotates forwards, it needs to rotate the bell crank so it pushes up into the M/C

Or find a way to mount the M/C facing forwards over the stock pedal.

I have a set of rearsets...not matching, but I guess I could try it...I just would love to make the controls stock because i want to be able to ride this thing and my knees prob would not like the rearsets....I know the ninja I rode in GA was killing me after 6 hours in the saddle
