Therapy is expensive. Riding is cheap. You decide.
Friend of mine has a 76 (?) KZ650 and replacing the coils with new units, question is, do aftermarket coils ground through the frame or do they require a separate ground wire? Not sure if it matters, but they are ACCEL coils.

My KZ550's STOCK coils ground to the frame I think. (Thanks for reminding me, since I've got to clean some powder out of there)

Edit: let me go back and look.

They appear to be bolted/grounded into the frame. They have the two nubs coming out, green wire goes to one side and black to the other. Not sure if that helps, but good luck.

Excellent forum for all things relating to these bikes. A very knowledgeable bunch of guys on there.

Thanks guys, he got it running, grounded correctly, and it sounds sick. Yet again, the DTT family comes through!
