American Pickers

On the episode this week they found a '67 Bonneville that was mint in a garage for 3500. I'd love to ride with those guys for a couple days.

decent show... some stuff i look at and know is worth nothing...

that one episode though, with the yard full of CB77's and all other 60s hondas... god i was going nuts jumping off my chair!

have to find where that guy lives, and buy ALL of it.

I saw that one too. My wife had no idea what I was going on about.

Only saw one episode, but got sucked into it because they ended up at some guy's place who used to own a bike shop. Enjoyed it, and I'll probably watch it again.

I love that show. As a self professed junk hoarder, it always makes me smile. The episode that sealed the deal for me though, was when they were at some old dudes farm buying whatever. The skinny guy found something he wanted and asked "how much"? The old man said $100. He thought for a second, and gave the old dude $300 because he knew it was worth a ton of loot. Occasionaly there is honor amongst theives...

Did you see the episode where they bought some old sideshow banners for ~$700 then sold them for $10,000? They went back to the guy and gave him 5 grand back. :)

The cameras were rolling... lol

any of ya'll been to their web site and seen all the old bikes and such that mike owns...if you;ve seen the episode where he buys the knuckle head, or the real old indian motor and tranny, or a single cylinder motor that he didnt know anything about turned out to be an amazing deal, its fun to watch what he picks out and he really does know and enjoy old bikes!

I used to do that, and got my ex started. That's her sole source of income now, and a big reason she's my ex.
That's an all-consuming job that never gives you a day off.

I watch it when I can . My question is do they really " like " each other ?

theres no doubt their both gay, but i dont see anything wrong with that.

if they are lovers or not doesnt matter; They leave the show about picking up old gems, and not much more.

Na wasn't impliying that just thought it was me who thought that .

I enjoy watching the show, I just dislike how they are only interested in short changing people that don't know the value of the items they poses, then these whipper snappers turn a profit. I enjoy watching auction kings, Delfino the handyman their is awesome, he can fix anything.

In the real world, you need to at least double the money to make any profit- and that's on the big ticket items.
For what are known as "smalls", you pretty much need to triple your money to cpmpensate for booth fees/site rent, transportation, cost of cleaning/painting, etc.

Why would anyone assume these guys are gay just because they work together, and why would anyone care anyway? I lived in San Francisco for 25 years and never saw any gay guys know as much about old bikes as that one guy.
