Another alternative for your CB350 cam chain tensioner

Been Around the Block
It seems that Honda is no longer offering the cam chain tensioner, the roller is still available.
Searching for options, after already purchasing a new OEM roller, I ran across a post about someone selling remanufactured rollers out of an alternative plastic. His listing, no longer active, also lists these rollers for CB750K0-K8.
My curiosity was sparked. I checked online parts diagrams with part numbers.
The CB750 shared several parts with the CB350; cam chain and roller.
Could the small roller be the same, minus the bracket, obviously?
I went ahead and ordered one from my local Honda dealer, part# 14500-300-000, $60.
The new part was a match for the old CB350 cam chain tensioner. I removed the rivet from my old bracket and the new one, compared the parts, and install into my old bracket.
Looks like it will work just fine. Have yet to install it as my motor is disassembled for a rebuild. It will be some time before it's running as this is an ongoing winter project.
Here are some pics.
Hope this gives someone another option for rebuilding your CB350.

You can get a slider -type tensioner from Todd Henning . Also almost any other hop-ups for the cb350/450..
