ANOTHER electrical thread

I know, I know, these threads have been posted in excessive numbers. I've done the searching, I've spent the time going over things, I've checked and re-checked, and I'm still at a loss. At this point my brain is refusing to comprehend anything that has to do with electrical systems.

SO, first off, if there's anyone in Seattle that wants to come over and look at said electrical system with me, I will supply you with all the beer and pizza your face can consume during that time. Also high-fives. Maybe burnouts if we get the bike working and the CB can summon the power to do so. Probably not though.

The problem:
1973 CB500 with no spark. Things were working just dandy last fall, then boom. No spark. Here's the current system:

- Complete new wiring harness from 4into1
- New Dyna S ignition as of July '15
- Electrosport Reg/Rec
- Shorai LFX14A2-BS12
- Starter, blinkers, hand controls have been eliminated

Battery is charged and putting out 12.6V. Coils test to be good as well. I've emailed a few things to Dyna tech support, and they say that should be good too.

a) if anyone has any experience/advice with a similar system, please share
b) what am I missing when checking things.
c) come help me, I want to ride

Thanks ya'll!

Heyo,

So this might not be entirely helpful, but I had a similar problem last year on my cb750. Cylinder 2 and 3 kept on mis-firing, and I thought I had illuminated the electrics from the possible suspects. Went off on a tear trying to get the gas/air ratio right thinking I had mis-jetted the carbs (plugs didn't look quite right to me). Well turns out I was half right. The carbs were not jetted properly, but I also had a loose connection on one of the coils. This is why it would test fine in the garage, where all my wiring seemed to be in order with proper wattage going all around, but as soon as I took it up the street it would worm its was loose and thus make me loose cylinders 2 and 3. Luckily I live right next to a hill, so having the bike die on my down the street would just require a quick U-turn and coast back down the hill into my driveway.
Anyway, maybe your coils have a similar problem? Doesn't seem like it as your not getting spark with the bike sitting in your shop, correct? Again, not sure if this helps but maybe it sparks a little light-bulb hiding in the back of your head.
Looking foward to hearing about progress.

Everything seems to be connected well on the coils, so I don't think that's the issue... Thanks for the thought process though! It's probably something similarly simple that I just can't see at this point ;)

Here are some images of where my wiring currently sits. Obviously not cleaned up, but maybe it will help spur any further feedback...
