Seeing as though this is where all the gr650 builds are going on I thought I would introduce myself. I spend most of my time playing in the dirt. I have a soft spot for vintage dirtbikes and enduros. I am a two stroke fanatic. I have a couple street projects going on already but I have never had a MC license so last week I decided it was time for me to get a bike ready to ride and get my MC license. So I signed up for riding classes at the end of the month and I have my eye on purchasing a gr650 this weekend.

It seems as though the gr650 is somewhat of an eye sore that it will be a pretty good all around platform. I was shocked to see how few of these bikes people are actually building... which is actually how I found this site. So if I do end up with the bike in my possession in the next few days I am going to keep it simple and ride it until I finish one of my other projects and then I will start digging into building the GR more to my liking.

Here is the rest of what is stored in my garage.

Plus I have a couple 4 wheelers and a 51 Jawa Perak that I am saving to bob for a rainy day.

I picked up the gr650. I'm gathering ideas for how I want to build it and I will start a build thread once I am ready.

Welcome to the site man.

Looks like a clean bike to begin with. If you haven't already, sign up on the GSResources as well. Even though the GR is the oddball of Suzuki bikes, it shares many flaws with the other bikes of the era. Be sure to start a build thread here, too!
