I always wear at least a full face helmet, riding jacket, gloves, and sturdy boots. Sometimes I throw on my full leathers. After a couple crashes and plenty of close calls, I just can't ride if I don't feel protected. The last time I was in an accident was when another biker crossed into my lane and hit me head on. I don't remember feeling my head hit anything but after getting out of the hospital and looking at my gear I noticed there were scuffs on my helmet and the visor had been ripped off.
