So I thought I might share something with ya I have been working on. Not trying to sell/push anything on anyone, just a alittle look into the madness which is my life as of late. As most of ya know I am almost done with Barberschool and about ready to start working in my pop's shop that has been around for over 40something years here in Chicago --->

One day at school I was using my plain/polished Andis Master clipper when I thought why couldnt I make it alittle more custom ? Then my big ass brain started working overtime and I came up with doing a line of custom clippers in different "Hot Rod" inspired colors (see below):
"Blood Red"

"Barbacide Blurple"

"Elxir Orange"

"Shear White"

"Antiseptic Green"

I also have a "Heavy Texture Black" clipper that is shot in the same coating S&S does their engine cases in (looks badass)..
More pics of the above colors can be seen on the shop's Facebook page --->

I teamed up with my buddy Sean who owns http://www.ThePowderPro.com, came up with a way to get these things coated and not take all day, worked out/came up/created some custom colors, and the results are above. As far as I searched around NO ONE offers clippers in such bright/deep/durable finishes as these. Not looking to get rich offa this, just have it as a custom "service" if you will that the shop offers to the barber community..

If anyone wants to snag one of these clippers hit me up @ JoesBarbershop1@aol.com...
Price for a brand new, in the box, completly custom clipper is $199.00 plus shipping...

Re: Any barbers in the room ?

I am no barber, but I do think this is cool and a great idea for a niche in a sales market! Great work and I hope your endevours are fruitful!

So, how about a rat rod edition: primer, rusty metal plate, bright red adjustment lever!
also one with a flame job...or a trick paint job like a latino lowrider!

Go all the way bro!

Re: Any barbers in the room ?

Those are very cool. Ill pass the pics along to a couple barbers I know. Hell I may even have to start shavin' my head again and buy one!

Re: Any barbers in the room ?

Very nice! I do my own dome due to my dwindling 'do (say that 5 times fast!), so I put my clippers to use. Side question-can you suggest some good small clippers for cleaning up edges?

Re: Any barbers in the room ?

Awesome! I love this, and I know there are a lot of barbers who would to... I immediately thought the same thing, needs pin stripes! But dang those are cool looking. I need a new set of clippers anyway. I know Andis makes a "Phat" version of the of the Master, I think you should try and market a Joe's hotrod version! it would be great marketing and I am sure you could find room for your logo on there.

Cheers,
Micah

Re: Any barbers in the room ?

Definitely seems like a good niche market. I was thinking some inlays would be cool. Stained wood, bright colored acrylic, etc.

I don't need them, but if they had a sexy pinup on the side I would buy 2.

Already in the works. Have a system worked out that I can have these things wraped like a car, so the things I can do are literally endless.
Woodgrain, Real flames, and flannel are in the works for next year ! ;D

I will soon be offering just the top plates in different colors as well as with graphics/logos.etc on them for people who want to keep their
clipper and just modify the overall look.

cool clippers man....what are your prices???
For a brand new in the box clipper completely done up and ready to roll is $199.00 + shipping. The things are $110 retail in plain form, so for all the work/effort it takes to get one of these things perfect I
really dont think what I am asking is all too much. Have sold a bunch already and customer response has been nothing but positive.

Powder Coat or Paint?
Looks kick ass!
Edit: Go find a pin striper!
All of the clippers are torn down, chemicaly etiched, media blasted, then powdercoated with colors that my powdercoater buddy Sean and I came up with.
Then once all is well a super durable clear goes on to give the color depth, as well as make the finish rock hard. And yes, I have a pinstripe version in the works already ;D

The only real difference between the Master ML, Fade, and Phat master is the still blade. I have buddies that buy the still blades for the Fade and Phat and put them on their old standard masters
and off they go. The reason why the Phat master has a texture finish is becasue they use factory 2nd cases, and needed to do something with the finish. I def. thought about putting my shop logo
on these, but in order to stay on the company's good side (and not get sued) they are going out as clean as they came in (just in different colors)...

And for the record the available colors are below:

"Blood Red"

Way cool! Both the clippers and being a barber in your Dad's shop. A barber is an old-school honest profession and too many of those types of things have been lost. I get my head done in a little three chair barber shop that's been in my town for close to 50 years. Screw Supercuts. ;D
