That one looks unstoppable :D

Here's mine ... which is going to be traded for a truck this week :( itsa JDM WRX, imported this spring. Be the shortest time that I've owned a car I really like, but I've definitely figured out why bike guys usually have trucks!

I was given a 90 turbo 5sp wagon last year and it just kinda sits though it drives pretty nicely for a wagon.
I saw one that someone had built out for offroad like that and have been thinking really hard about doing similar with this one.

Let me know if you need any advice or anything. I may be new to Cafe bikes, but I'am quite the Subaru nut and have lots of resources to share.

Will do.
I went back behind the shop and cranked it up, took a starting booster since it's been sitting for a year but it fired up and after some bitchy chugging and smoke settled down nicely. It's got 65000 miles and seems pretty solid, motor is quiet ie; no odd noises.
Got to looking around back there (lots and LOTS of project stuff in the locked lot) and I see that I've got a 5spd and X-case from a 88 toyota pickup. I know there are offroad guys that swap for this setup and solid axles....or at least I remember it being spoken of.

I have a pair of solid axles from a 81 Landcruiser too....

Hmmmmm..........coilovers, 4-link. Subicrawler?

There are alot of guys that have done a solid axle swap, to much work for me..... You should check out www.ultimatesubaru.org for motivation ::)

before I bought my 540i I was looking at 2.5rs'. There were two fairly local ones for sale around the same time, both had the very rare leather interior and very low miles, both sold out from under me. I found other decent ones but none compared and most were way over priced, so instead I ended up with my 540i. Cant say I regret the 540i one bit, but everytime I see a 2.5rs I think "what if?"

I have had a few now
bought a 2.5rs with a jdm 2.0 sti ver 8 swap. awesome car.
ended up selling it for thousands more than i paid with out trying to sell at all.

then i spent half the money from that car to build myself a 98 legacy gt with a 2.5 usdm sti swap.
complete engine, tranny, rear end, susp, brakes, cluster etc.
100% functional, dccd and all.
too much fun at the track

Nate, what did you use to lift the suspension on your legacy!!??

I have a 92 legacy wagon I want to lift a little, the rear subframe is rotted so it needs work anyway!!!

The current looks great!!!!

You can use late 1998ish outback struts to get about 2 inches of lift, Mine has outback struts on the back plus 2 inches of body lift (blocks, extenders, ect) and the front is all 4" body lift. Thanks!

I had an 04 WRX and traded in when we had our baby! I can say I will always regret getting rid of it I loved that car. Plus I got sold a wrecked Tahoe that was never disclosed to me. So I got f@#$%d twice!
