Anyone buy a seat from this vendor?

They offer seat covers with foam that go right on your stock pan or even the whole seat with replica seat pan underneath for a bolt on application. I was wondering if anyone had purchased one of these seats from this guy and what you thought of the quality.

I've been wondering the same thing. Doesn't seem like a bad deal until you look at the cost of shipping.

But I also haven't gotten a chance to see how much I could do it myself for.

Yeah, the cost to ship is a killer. I like the idea of covering the stock seat pan and maintaining the use of the swivel seat mount and lock. My other option is obviously building the seat over the seat pan using any of the ideas shown on this site.

You can do it yourself for less money and pay for professional upholstery (which would be nicer and you can choose stitching, colors etc.).

Thanks guys for the feedback. Yeah, I like the idea of doing the seat myself using the stock seat pan. I can do the old foam carving trick to get my shape and then glass it, finish it and have it upholstered. For those of you that have had a professional upholstry job, how much did it cost you?
