my friend just did a big bore, and a pipe on his scoot. It spents more time in one wheel than two. I dont get it but a two stroke automatic scooter ridding wheelies is cool as shit to watch
There are guys that race those things and some fun customs out of japan.
I've been secretly looking for a ST70 or a monkeybike roller to house this nifty little Lifan 138 engine I picked up last year.
Wanted an S90 chassis but those appear to be made of gold so......I'll pass.
I'm guessing you would backbone it for the tank (something Vespa/Puch guys have started doing to mount tanks). Then strip all the body parts off. Easier than it sounds.
That one looks like it's an 'S' bike, exactly what I want but like I said....gold!
Adding a backbone would be really simple as Kev says, in truth since it's a light bike and you're not generating any HP to speak of, grab yourself a piece of 2.5" exhaust tubing, cut/grind etc to fit and have it welded in place. At that point you're about dialed in. Nabe yourself a bitchin tank and get after it!
kev, swagger is right. thats either a 90s or a 50s. those are super duper hard to find around here.... ive been wanting to make a mini tarmac monster for a while now.... i just have to find the right bike.
Ya know.....back in the 20's guys were running 8-15hp on board tracks and doing well over 100.
Stock I doubt these little bikes will break 55, but with some tweeking and a beefed up engine I can't see why one couldn't get close.
Besides, if you're planning to make the ton on one of these you HAVE to be bugshit nuts.
I'd hop it up a bit, gear it tall and use it as a city basher.
Tony, the roaming mechanic, just finished getting a C70 together for a buddy of mine up in Toronto. I've already convinced him it needs a big bore kit or a Lifan engine installed over next winter.
