Anyone have experience with EarthX lithium batteries?

Just wondering if anyone has used one of these, or similar models?

I'm intrigued by this statement in there product description...
No other motorsport lithium battery manufacturer offers a battery with built-in electronics to protect it from over-discharging, over-charging, plus keep the cell’s charge level balanced.
They also say you can use a regular charger

I've read, on here and other forums, that there are problems with using lithium ion batteries and a stock charging/electrical system on older bikes. I have no experience with lithium batteries, but want to run one on a CB360 build. Any advice would be appreciated

Our batteries are an exceptional value given the fact they can last four times longer than a lead-acid battery, up to 8 years. All of our motorsport batteries come with a full 2 year warranty (not prorated like others). If you are not 100% satisfied with our product, you may return it for a refund (see our Shipping and Returns policy).

My last battery on my 750 (Conventional Lead Acid) lasted over 7 years. My present AGM battery on my 750 was installed in June 2007 and is going strong. My present conventional battery in my CB360 was installed in 2011, three years old now.

The Earthx looks like it is a better setup then most with the electronic protective circuitry, but I doubt it would last 4 times longer then my conventional battery. Seeing as my CB360 battery was $32 out the door, there is no pay back or break even point for that battery in my case. At $169, I can buy 5 replacement batteries for my CB360. There is no economic advantage at all.

I know most use those because they are smaller, but if size is not important, it is a waste of money IMO. If you need the size, then all of those Li batteries are smaller.
