anyone have tips for modding front cb350 fender to fit 100/90 tire

is the tire rubbing on the bracket sides or top? if top, then you can probably hog out the mount holes and pull the fender up, if the sides, then... well... a thinner bracket

The tire is rubbing on the side of the bracket, I know I read somewhere that someone had done this, but at that point I thought I would be running fenderless. I can't recall if I saw it here or the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Owners Group site.

i've got a CL fender that's slightly higher. it would mount right up. i'll send it to you if you'd like.
it's been sandblasted to get that green paint off..

Wow, that would be really cool, I am about to head out of town for a week, but I'll catch up with you when I get back. Thanks...

Yes what is peoples obsession with bigger tyres ??? especially when tyre size plays such a big part in the handling of your bike.

i'd go out on a limb to say people mod their bikes for different reasons, and aesthetics plays a major role. Some people aren't into hugging apex's, so then tire size isn't as big of a factor for them. I'm not about leaning my bike too much, I like cruising, so I mod my bike for aesthetics, thus the disparaging effects of odd sized tires don't necessarily phase me, and possibly the op as well.

on the 350 i just picked up the rear tire rubs ever so slightly on the centerstand. Its a new tire and obviously a hair wider than the stock, but really, i can just grind down that little nub on the stand. i mean, with the narrowness of the wheels on these bikes you really cant fit a tire so wide its going to affect your handling that much.

the tire isn't that much bigger. stock is 110/90 for the 350. that fits a range of widths. i don't think this is an issue of "obsession with bigger tyres" ::)
i doubt there would be any effect on the handling of the bike with such a small change.

anyway, i'll ship that fender out as soon as you send me your address.
