But I thought I was also post here to see who all is in my area. I tried to start a Cafe Racer Group last year, but it seemed difficult to get it going. I woudl like to start an active local chapter out of the Birmingham area. I actually live in Trussville. Anyway, you guys hit me up. I have a pretty decent garage and my Harley buddy down the street is giving me a bigger beer fridge for the work area. I would like to meet up with some Cafe guys for riding, wrenching, drinking, grilling and hanging out, so you guys drop me a line and I can give you my cell phone number. And if you see me haulin' ass around town on this:
You sir, are in luck. The mad scientist himself, Kanticoy is in your area. Search his build and you'll know why hes the mad scientist, and why youre lucky!
I read that thread yesterday and it inspired me to come out of the closet and post. I was at the festival. I have been there the last several years. I only live about 5 minutes away. I would have loved to gotten together with you guys, but I didn't know about this forum until a couple of days ago. Oh well... There's always next year.
I go over to Barber regularly... I even took my cub scout pack on a tour of the museum several years ago.
Yup too bad you didn;t know about this forum till now. We had a ton of fun wrenching drinking and bs'ing at kanticoys this year. We will all be there next year so no worries. but i would hit kanticoy up in a pm. hes always looking for new people to hang out with.
I am in Forest Park/Avondale area and would love to have a few people to ride with every now and then. Going to do my best to make it out to Barbers in October.
