Anyone know a good machine shop in the Philly area?

Hey now,

So after discovering an oil leak from my cylinder head gasket (I don't know if that's the correct term for it or not but I'm going with it) I figure it's time to pull the cylinders and have them honed.

Anyone know of a good shop in the PHL area that can do them for a reasonable price?

Also, does anyone know if there's a step by step to disassembling the top end online? I've searched through pages of results but "top end" is fairly common.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

You'll need to find a service manual. They usual do a pretty good job at showing how to take apart the top end in the right order. As far as honing I would just buy a honing tool and do it yourself. It's not like your getting actual machine work or getting your cylinder bored out.

You need something like this but I don't know if a 4" inch honing tool is too big. The website says "from 2" to 7" diameter".
