I wonder if anyone knows of a easy rust preventative for recently cleaned steel for storage. I'm in the middle of cleaning up some stuff on my CB350 Four build, and I may not get to them right away....
I've had great results from KBS Rust Blast. It's a zinc phosphate pre-primer. Works well to prevent or take care of flash rust or surface rust. When I stripped my tank I applied it and left it bare for months before getting around to paint.
If you're planning to paint the stuff later, a zinc primer is your best bet. If they're to remain bare metal, a wipe down with WD-40 every couple of weeks works well.
