Anyone know how to remove melted plastic from WRAPPED pipes???

Yup, like an idiot, I assumed my pipes were cool enough to put the motorcycle cover over the bike only to notice I not only melted holes through my brand new cover, but now also have Ducati red plastic / (polyblend) melted on my wrapped pipes!

I've tried picking it off, but it's all embossed within in the fabric and it's not budging.

Anyone have any ideas of how to remove it, either while the pipes are warm or cold?

...really not looking to purchase new ti-wrap and go through the hassle of removing the pipes unless I have absolutely no choice Rich Ard. The s**t ain't cheap man.

Funny, there's a lot of information of how to remove it from naked pipes, but cannot find ANYTHING on removing wrapped pipes. Arghh

Run it long enough and it turns black. I have a keychain that says "REMOVE BEFORE FLIG" because I didn't account for how long it is.

I had a small amount of melted plastic stuck to wrapped pipes. I was able to remove it by scraping it off with a brass bristle brush while hot. It was only a quarter sized piece.

Maybe I should get a keychain that says "THINK BEFORE YOU DO IDIOT" :p

Rode the bike for 20 minutes, hit the pipes w/ a brass brush and bam, there's hardly a trace of red other than the red that was initially on my face when I noticed it. :-D

Thanks again for your advice JohnGoFast!
