Anyone know if this tranny has been "undercut"?

I have a '78 CB750F SS and took it completely apart for a rebuild. I was told that my gears might be undercut. Can anyone tell me how this process works and whether or not these gears are already undercut or not? Here are the pics:

The undercutting is on the dogs, not the gear teeth themselves. We need a good clear look at the where the gear dogs mesh.

Crazy

Yeah I don't think I have them undercut. I don't see anywhere on the dogs where they're cut. Going to send them into Cyclexchange and have it done.

Even if you have them undercut it's a good idea to polish the end surfaces of the dogs to reduce any friction that would be likely to slow engagement.

NO, it's completely stock
Usually it's only second gear that needs doing as that's the widest jump

Thanks Crazy! I sent them to CycleX yesterday so when I get them back I'll make sure that gets done. I'm having CycleX setup new clutch friction plates with racecut gears. Going to be stripping the paint on my engine cases this weekend now that I have the engine completely disassembled and paint. Wish me luck!

You don't want to undercut a tranny. You'll probably get shanked.

Oh wrong tranny.
Carry on.

Best place we found to undercut gears and to repair any other damage is R&D in Clearwater Florida.

They have been doing drag bikes for years (guess that links with the tranny joke ;D )
