I found this image on a blog that I recently stumbled upon. Don't know much more than it's from Tokyo. Anyone have any more info on it?

Though youre right, it is badass...

Its not really anything that special. (Parts wise at least) Its a mishmash of 60s and earlier HD parts. Panhead lump, VL(?) frame, early sporty or maybe triumph front end, trailer fender, old Bates seat, etc... You could build that entire bike from EBay finds. THOUGH, it certainly wouldnt be cheap.

Definitly a cool scoot though. In all actuality (and I could be wrong) it may be a survivor bike from back in the day that someone with pockets full of Yen had shipped over. Though there are some interesting bits that look one off, and Japanese in design.

i can tell you the screaming hand sticker was drawn by Jim Phillips. :p About who built the bike I would have no clue, and it's just as stated above.

Yes, it's a mishmash of different bikes but it works well. I've seen a lot of bikes attempting similar style with butt ugly results. You gotta hand it to the Japanese guys out there, they are building top quality stuff. Check out hide motorcycles for an inspiration.

I wouldnt give the Japanese much credit for that bike... If you pick up some old EasyRider mags from the 70s, you'll see a million bikes just like that...

Who ever built that friscoed lane splitter should get their deserved props!

Awesome bike. I think its the lack of effort and chrome.

Tank = not FRISCO'd

Pegs = FRISCO'd

Is that right?

Why the interest in this bike? It's a nice, basic rat bob but there are so many other better ones.

I'll never understand why these things can share a term that doesn't relate to one another.

True. Lets not take this on some tangent like chopper vs. bobber...
