Anyone like ice skating? Fri. Feb. 29th.

Don't know if anyone else has been to these things, but I think they are great fun....

At the outdoor ice at the Harbourfront Centre there will be ice skating (the rink is open all the time now, btw), and there will also be DJ's mixing tunes to dance/skate to. Not to mention FREE hot chocolate!

The details:

Friday 11 January 2008
8pm - 11pm
Promise brings you: DJ Mel Boogie (RnB), DJ Benjamin Boles (Disco), and DJ Ben Marchal (House)!

Bring out the family, or your friends... there is skate rentals available and a warm change room.

I will be there for sure (unless its raining cats and dogs)... let me know if you wanna meet up, or just meet me there.

do they sharpen skates onsite there?

i keep trying to go to these things, but it always seems to rain. that ..and i have a rink at the bottom of my street. ;D

i'd be down for a group meet tho.

Yes they do sharpen skates there... five dolla!

Rentals are 7 smackers for adults and 5 bucks for kids.

Oh...if it don't rain.. I would be intersted as well. This weather is so crazy warm, there may be no ice left..

Well, apparently the ice there is artificially chilled, and it's good to +8C, but the weather this week has been exceptional, hasn't it? Friday evening's weather looks like around +2C, with chance of more rain, so I think I'm gonna have to call it as I see it on Friday...

Oh, yeah... and my plan was to arrive for 8-8:30pm.

Shoot, why ain't you people going for a ride? I'd have the bike out but I'm flying to Florida in about 30 hours. Mid-20's there, and lots of bikes to rent and ocean to see
