Anyone run CB360 carbs on a CB350?

So I have fairly decent set of CB360 carbs that I would like to run on my CB350. Long story short, I tried the "boiling in lemon juice" trick for my 350 carbs, and after about 45 minutes, there was alot of powdered aluminum in the pan, and the carbs are pretty much junk now. Anyway, has anyone ever run the CB360 carbs on a 350? Do you know if the hole spacing between the intake ports is the same on both engines? Or any other snags that might prevent me from running them?

Thanks!

350 carbs are the slide type whereas 360 carbs are CV. While this, in and of itself, isn't necessarily a problem, I'm pretty sure CV carbs designed for a certain displacement will have much bigger venturis. You may need new boots to get things to fit properly.

Both of my sets of carbs are CV type, but that aside. I know PJ always talks about VM30's being the max size to use on a 350...and I've read that there is alot of heartache trying to get them jetted properly. What about VM28's or 26's? Would either of these be a better choice as far as performance and ease of jetting? This bike is just for street use, and will at most get one of the bore-tech 65mm piston sets.

Thanks!

I would think that the VM28s would be a good match, but I don't have personal experience on the matter, sorry.
