To all of you who are running a bare metal tank - do you at least paint the bottom of it? I like the raw look, and have read about oiling the tank, but I don't see how that's possible on the bottom. I'm guessing bottom is painted, top is raw?
You could clear powder coat it that will keep it from rusting. I've bead blasting brackets and powder coated then clear before. Works great. You can coat with gloss or dull.
That sounds great. The clear PC protects the whole tank, but I like the oiled patina that the bare tank gets. I picked it up for $20 anyway. Thanks, guys.
