Bare Metal Tank - Bottoms?

To all of you who are running a bare metal tank - do you at least paint the bottom of it? I like the raw look, and have read about oiling the tank, but I don't see how that's possible on the bottom. I'm guessing bottom is painted, top is raw?

You could clear powder coat it that will keep it from rusting. I've bead blasting brackets and powder coated then clear before. Works great. You can coat with gloss or dull.

Im a big fan of brush on bed liner for the bottoms of gas tanks. seals them from rust, and lasts forever. Cant see it anyway so looks arent inportant.

That sounds great. The clear PC protects the whole tank, but I like the oiled patina that the bare tank gets. I picked it up for $20 anyway. Thanks, guys.
