Battery ground, what size wire?

My new CB750F needs a new ground wire for the battery. It is a 12v 14ah battery. I want to make sure I don't burn anything up. Would 9 be heavy enough?

I'll second the 4 gauge. That what I used for mine runs with no issues

Clean the mounting points well, put a little dielectric grease on, to keep the ground path conductive and corrosion free.

A good ground is a thing of beauty.....
