Hi Guys,

Been a proud ACE owner for just a year now, and done all the recommended modifications!

Had various bikes for over 30 years now (Just turned 50!) and current fleet includes a mint TRX850.

Previous bikes include the following - FZ750, YZF1000 (RU) DR650, Thunderace, Cagiva Navigator, C90 - All great, but none ever got as much attention as the ACE!!

Never been without a road bike since I started riding in 1980 . Must have had upwards of 25 bikes in that time. One's that stand out include : FS1E ; CB175 (x2) ; CB250RS (x2) ; RD350LC ; RGV250 ; Fireblade RRW and YZF-R1.

Tend to fancy a change every 3 or 4 years but sold the R1 and an immaculate original CBR600 Jellymould back in the summer buying a CBR1100XX Blackbird (1999) and of course the ACE a few weeks ago.

Got the feeling the Bird and the ACE will be keepers

Bloody hell - this'll make you laugh. Before my Harley the best brakes I every had were on a '79 Bonneville - a cast iron disc up front and a drum rear and that was shit!

Still, in the eyes of The Ace we are all equal....

I attach some pics for your amusement. The MZ racer made 19 BHP at the rear wheel about 120 BHP per litre which wasn't bad for a four speed commuter bike - weighed 75KG

The Green Zed should make around 30 BHP - some say 36 - all I know is it flies

Instead of Snake Pass what about somewhere nice up near Skipton /Pendle way Mike?

Er, I have a BSA B40 trials with no brakes , electrics or suspension to speak of

Plus my Arrow 125 in currently in Spain , plus a CCM 230 trail bike 8)

Other than my ace which I've not ridden yet, I've got my every faithful 94 VFR and until about a month ago my other toy was a speedway bike which i built myself, that was until i smashed my collar bone and ended up with a metal plate holding it together. So did the sensible thing and sold it
