awesome thread. i would have put the spartan up here but it's already done!!
claims to be first ever build for this guy, and no idea about engineering regarding motorcycles. undoubtedly true, but the amazing precision in design and practice is truly inspiring for noob like myself. cool stuff with detailed records of how stuff is done...
oh, and it's a 2smoke. iyyeessss
I can think of a few bikes (not on DTT) builds
I believe this one is done http://bratbonnie.blogspot.com/
this guys modern bonnie with an aftermarket featherbed frame http://www.triumphrat.net/biker-hang-out/159756-featherbed-865-a.html
I think this is kind of subjective, though...how do we quantify 'best build'?
for instance:
-most novice build
-most dollars spent
-people's choice
-I like this one the best
-most close to a '60's cafe racer
-only British
-only Japanese
-only German
etc, etc...
I think very few people would post their build up here if they didn't think it was their personal best. I know I don't --(I just suck at building, so it doesn't look like a 'best' ;D)
Not complaining, I just think that this is too broad to make a post out of. IMO this is what we have BOTM for.
I agree, this is a great post. There are so many builds on this site that I just have to pick and choose a few to follow. Just don't have time to follow them all or read every post. Nice to come in here and see what others think is a good thing and should take a look at. It is totally subjective, but all builds are, its just the builds you see and think that's awesome. I've already found a couple of builds through this post that I'll be sure to follow.
