as a woman and as a biker i have to say that this thing really offends me. betty page became famous because of bdsm. if your saying that tying down a woman and beating her is the start of the cafe thing then you really need to do some research on history. betty page wasn't even english.

Beating women is wrong, hmmOK. Violence against women (the abusive kind, not playing) whether it be rape, beating the wife assembly on a drunk, being verbally abusive, etc is the act of a coward that hasn't the guts to face a man and should be treated as such. It is repugnant and wrong.
I'm sure the whole thing was staged. Sorta like pro wrestling. Is it wrong for two or more big guys to be "beating" each other for entertainment purposes? Sad to say, Bettie Page did those things to make a living back in the day.
