Been Around the Block
I didn't know where to put this. I figure this is the only place a moderator won't yell at me for it.
A good friend/ near brother (and DTT member) lost this job yesterday. He is a very skilled motorcycle mechanic and custom bike builder. He can also ride the wheels out of anything. I have worked with him at one of the car shops. He's got a good work ethic and is always fun with out causing too much trouble.
By the way, he does not know I'm posting this.
For the last couple of years he has been making less money turning wrenches on cars to pay the bills. But he is un-happy unless he is fondling a bike. He has build some beautiful custom bobbers, and cafes, as well as restored dozens of bikes. British or Jap.
He has talked several times about getting out of Memphis. But I think he lacks the courage to do it unless he has something lined up. Which is reasonable, just not the way I look at it.
He wants to live in a warm climate with good places to ride on his days off. If you work at a shop, or know of a bike shop that needs quality employees, will you please send some kind of contact info for the place. I'm not asking you to give a reference for a guy you never met. Only to pass along helpful info to a fellow enthusiast. He may or may not get the job. But I'm sure he will try.
You can either post info here, or... I guess you could send me an email or PM and I will pass it along. I'll tell him about this add and let him choose to let himself be known. That way you can give the info directly to him.
