I still can believe how fast you got it together. I love it. If it was my bike I would have lowered the seat pan to make the tank to seat transition look more linear.

All finished! Hollywoodmx I did consider reworking it but in the end I wanted it to feel like a true vintage race bike, not a over worked custom. Even some factory racers in the day were a little raw looking. Only problem I am having is getting the tach to work. It is a 2 wire so I ran black to the ground and red to the lead from the cdi to the coil. This should work correct??? Any suggestions? Help a brother out. More crappy pics and a video, turn it up!!!

Glad u approve!!! It is a load of fun, geared a bit to tall now but I ordered a larger rear sprocket to get it closer to were it needs to be. This thing is light as can be, and should be a blast once the gearing is sorted.

sorry for asking but you seem to have great knowledge bout vintage/modern 2 strokes.

currently restomodding my RD 250 built 1978.
are there any nice tachs (maybe both functions in one, speed and rpm) that would fit the ratio / modern look of my RD?
thanks

This is the dash I use, not much of a looker but it sure is functional!
