Black framed Ace 125

Like the idea of a small fly-screen which is why I went for the number board offered by the UK Skyteam distributor, though have not seen any other Aces with this option. Ideally, I would love to put a RC162 Honda type full fairing, but haven't found a suitable one yet. It's somewhat of a gamble as I know that there are some full fairings listed for the Dream 50, but all seem to be at horrendous prices!

you are not the only one looking for a small full fairing. i was in the local "deus ex machina" clothing outlet and saw a mockup bike used for promotion that had a fairing that would fit perfectly. now i am in the process of trying to find out who made it

This ... spotted on another forum (philippines bikes) ... its got me thinking, oh oh !

An 'alloy fairing', could look awesome, if only I know where to get one from !! - anyone ?

For my mind, one of the nicest full fairings as seen on a Dream 50, but it would be an ideal fit for an Ace as well. If only I knew where they sourced it from..!?

Does anyone know how to improve or adjust the spring tension on the stock throttle ? Mine doesn't seem to 'spring back' with any haste when i ease off the throttle - which is a bit of a worry when I'm at W.O.T. on the freeway !! Is the spring tension even adjustable o the stock throttle?

Is the spring in the carby the only spring tension in the throttle system or is there one on the throttle housing that can be tensioned?

(sorry for the Q's, just not very mechanically gifted !).

The throttle cable needs a bit of attention to get it to work freely, you might need to take the tank off and make sure the throttle cable isn't being held or moved around by any wires or brackets. Mine was a pain to get sorted aswell.

My throttle's all sorted out now !

Saw some useful guides on Youtube on how to adjust free play, checked my cable routes (all ok), ended up disassembling the plastic throttle body / switch housing on the RHS of bar ... and found the moving part which had the cable attached, was rubbing against the plastic moulding. Some filing, and liberal amounts of WD40 later (and also in the throttle cable itself), really freed things up nicely. Springs back like a SNAP now !!

I decided to file off the small 'tab' on the plastic throttle / switch housing, so that I could drop my handle bars down (no need for clip on's now !!).

Sorted !! thanks for the helpful tips guys.

looks real nice, someone has been busy with the polish. wish we had the good weather in UK to use ours all the time and keep as clean.

Cheers Joseph, Crazy, Tad ... !

Did some more work in the weekend (oil change, new sprocket, finally sorted out my exhaust 'note', etc) - will update with some more pics soon. Loving the journey so far, the final destination is just a bonus.
