was finally able to get my wheels off my truck this weekend to lay some powder on them. I took out the stock center caps, stripped off the clear and paint and polished them out... came out pretty good! got to let them sit for 24 hrs but then they go back on the truck tomorrow after work... rocking black on black on black

all powdered up and ready for some heat!

Now you just need to put some limo tint on the windows and black out the lights. Full on MURDERED OUT!

there rear is all limo... the drivers and passanger can only be 10% (as of last month) to be legal. I have debadged the whole truck already... had a white pin stripe done down the side, to tie in the white letters on the side walls.
other than that i have a 2 in budget boost coming and new rough courntry shocks... as well as 4 PIAA lights for the roof rack.. then she will be done and ready to pull the snowmobiles this winter!

Damn dude. I just got rid of my bb spacers for cheeeap. I ordered my self some 4" springs though. 8)

ahh of course! ha ha ha how did it ride with the BB? what is involed in the springs? you just slap them in there?

Yep, disconnect sway bar links, disconnect bottom shock mount (support the axle so it doesn't crash down too hard), pop the top of the spring out (I left the bottom in so the spring was in the same position (not sure if it makes a difference), slap the spacer in, pop the spring back in and bolt it back up. If you have a tough time getting the spring back on with the spacer installed, try jacking the opposite side of the axle up and have a buddy put some weight on the side you're working on, or use a spring compressor if you have one. Once you get the wheel off and look at what you need to do you'll see how easy it is.

My truck rode the same as it did stock, even on stock shocks. Definately gives it a nicer stance though. Are you running 245/75's?

Here's mine on the 2" BB and 245's

THANKS MAN!!!! i actually found your "FOR SALE" on the boost in the jeep forum! hahaha
thanks for the tips man! now i need to track down a good deal on one!

Cool ride joe, just like the rest of your rides! I drive an all blackes out Tacoma(except wheels)! Try VHT "nite shades" rattle can lens tint for your tails, looks great! I will try to get some picks of mine for you. We also used it on the signals for Alex's bike, the more you spray the darker it gets, Alex's is fairly light.

PM me with a price to do my wheels in the same black you did yours and a price for matte black as well.

Thanks

that looks so much better Joe. Doesn't even look like the same wheels. Really nice job!
My son put on 2" spacers on the wrangler. He said that jacking up the oposite side made it very easy. It made the jeep look alot better.

I am shooting my shocks this weekend. i got a Budget boost off a memeber of a jeep forum. came with skyjacker shocks and the BB. the shocks looked good, had some surface rust on them... but because i am anal... i was not going to use rusted shocks or white ones... so i stripped them down... now i just need to decide what i am going to paint them with! i am not sure if i am going to use epoxy paint or bed liner... ill have to see...

Darmstro, wait till you see the color we used on BOOM's frame in the light, that color would be sick on your jeep. I went gloss black for 1 reason... i have it in super durrable... that powder will take 3000 hrs of salt spray, while normal powder will take 1000. I tow, off road, and let the wife drive it on bad snow days... so i wanted them to be as tough as possible...
Ill hit you up if i have any questions doing the lift... i am stoked! i just got in 5 KC lights for my roof rack, and 2 for the rear (when i am working on the trailer or something) after that... i am ready for whatever Michigan has to throw at me! lets go SNOWMOBILING!!!!

how they came

all stripped and ready to look pretty!

nope... no big tires, i use my truck... i got brand new 30's AT heavy treads on there right now, great tire, brand new.... plus i tow all winter long and on long snowmobile trips that tire noise would drive me FN insane!
shocks are shot and curing, gloss black epoxy paint to the rescue!

What do you mean they "should open?" Are you meaning extend out? I though only gas charged shocks did that. I dunno.

I looked on their site real quick.
